With the signature of the three members of the Negotiating Committee, Local 6 and BLT have finalized the new contract, until 2025. Stewards Josefa Reyes and Mariana Garcia, and Committee member Martha Orozco, signed the agreement as well as Secretary-Treasurer Jose Nunez, on August 27th.

In this new contract, members are guaranteed that their wages will keep up with the CPI – the Consumer Price Index, with a minimum of 3% wage increase a year. 

Rules were also changed, making that holidays and planned PTO count as hours worked for the purpose of overtime pay. Rules were also changed to make the process of getting bid-job positions is more fair and equitable.
