Local 6 Delegates and Members Come Together at the 75th Annual Convention, Decide Budget and Policy for Coming Year

On Saturday, May 21st, Local 6 held it’s 75th Annual Convention. Delegates elected in the different workplaces represented by the union joined members and retirees to participate in the discussion.
The Annual Convention of the decides on the policy and budget of the Union for the coming year, and the reviews the actions of the officers and the Local on the previous year. It has the power to approve the budget and make changes to the constitution.
Only delegates have voting power at the convention, and the number of delegates is based on how many members are in a specific workplace, with a minimum of two delegates per represented house.
This year, one constitutional amendment was approved and a second one was not. The budget was also approved by the delegates.
